1. WORSHIPING
Romans 11 : 33 – 36
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, indiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)!
For who has known the mind of the Lord and who has understood His thoughts, or who has (ever) been His counselor?
Or who has first given God anything that he might be paid back or that he could claim a recompense?
For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. (For all things originate with Him and come from Him; all things live through Him, and all things center in and tend to consummate and to end in Him). To Him be glory forever! Amen
Matthew 6 : 9
Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name.
1 Timothy 1 : 17
Now the King of eternity, incorruptible and immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever (to the ages of ages). Amen (so be it). Read Psalm 8.
2. THANKSGIVING
Philippians 4 : 6
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
John 11 : 41
So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
3. INTERCEDING FOR OTHER PEOPLE
Job 42 : 10
And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes, when he prayed for his friends, also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Matt 6 : 11
Give us this day our daily bread.
Philippians 2 4
Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not (merely) his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.
4. PERSONAL REQUESTS
Matthew 6 : 11
Give us this day our daily bread
5. CONFESSION OF SINS
Daniel 9 : 20
While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of the people of Israel…
Psalm 51 : 2 – 4
Wash me thoroughly (and repeatedly) from my iniquity and guilt and cleanse me and make me wholly pure from my sin!
For I am conscious of my transgressions and I acknowledge them; my sin is ever before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned and done that which is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified in Your sentence and faultless in Your judgment. Read 1 John 1 : 9
If we (freely) admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins (dismiss our lawlessness) and (continuously) cleanse us from all unrighteousness (everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action). Read Daniel 9, Psalm 51, Matt 6 : 12
6. CONFESSION OF FAITH
Matt 6 : 13c
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever
7. DECLARATION OF LOVE
Psalm 18 : 2
The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower.
Psalm 116 : 1
I love the Lord, because He has heard (and now hears) my voice and my supplications.
8. SUBMISSION TO GOD
II Corinthians 8 : 5b
… but first they gave themselves to the Lord and to us (as His agents) by the will of God (entirely disregarding their personal interests, they gave as much as the possibly could, having put themselves at our disposal to be directed by the will of God). Read Matt 6 : 10, Matt 6 : 13b
9. SPIRITUAL WARFARE
Ephesians 6 : 10-18
In conclusion, be strong in the Lord, (be empowered through your union with Him); draw your strength from Him (that strength which His boundless might provides).
Put on God’s whole armor (the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies), that you may be able successfully to stand up against (all) the strategies and deceits of the devil.
For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood (contending only with physical opponents), but against the despotisms, against the powers, against (the master spirits who are) the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resists and stand your ground on the evil day (of danger), and having done all (the crisis demands), to stand (firmly in your place).
Stand therefore (hold your ground), having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and moral rectitude and right standing with God.
And having shod your feet in preparation (to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news) of the Gospel of peace.
Lift up over all the (covering) shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked (one).
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.
II Corinthians 10 : 3 & 4
For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.
For the weapons of our warfare are not physical (weapons of flesh and blood), but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.
